What do you like most about Off Centre?

Having undertaken participation work with hundreds of children and young people over the last ten years, I like that Off Centre is delivering emotional support in the way that children and young people always say they’d like it delivered.

Name one quality (trait of character) you think is the most important for your job - why?

To always be humble, and remember that we are here to serve the people for whom the service is designed and delivered to meet the needs of.

What do you do to relax when you feel stress?

Go for long walks in the middle of nowhere, alone or with close friends and family. I also like photography or cooking 

What’s your most treasured object?

I know this isn’t really answering the question properly, but my family and friends are most treasured to me (although clearly, I am not intending to suggest that they are ‘objects’). Honestly I don’t have a particularly treasured object ....... objects are more easily replaced 

What’s your favourite word?

I don’t really have a favourite word........I have a favourite phrase, particularly for work: “Courage doesn’t always roar”, sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow”. (Mary Anne Radmacher)
