Vibes

Advice, Information and Guidance

Vibes is your 'one-stop-shop' for information and advice about your wellbeing.

If you are based in Hackney, we can provide you with free advice on housing, finance, education, access to volunteer opportunities, training, sexual health information and free condoms - all in one place. Read on or download our Advice information leaflet here.

What should I do first?

You can call us to make an appointment or come to one of our drop-in sessions on Tuesdays or Thursdays morning 10-12am. On your first point of contact, you will complete a referral form, then you will be given an appointment for an assessment. However if it is not a busy day and you come to one of our drop-in sessions, Elizabeth might be able to do the assessment the same day.

What is the assessment?

The assessment is a 1-to-1 session where we find out about your situation and how we can best assist you.

What happens next?

After the assessment, depending on your situation, we will contact the appropriate agency to make a referral, like St Martins, Fairbridge, Chapter 1 or the Hackney Homeless Persons Unit. If you are experiencing emotional issues, like depression, we will make a referral to our in-house counselling service.

After we make the referral, we chase up the agency to make sure they meet your needs.

More about Vibes

We also do outreach to schools and inform them about our services

VIBES is part of The Right Track (TRT) project and we are organising skills workshops and working to get young people into volunteering. Have a look at our TRT page, our Vinspired page, or let us know what you would like to do.
